We have recently been named Business of the Year at the Huddersfield Daily Examiner Business Awards 2009. We have always been proud of our Huddersfield roots, and the fact that we have remained an independent family run business since 1950, so this recognition is important to us.

The presentation ceremony was attended by more than 300 people at Huddersfield’s Galpharm Stadium and was held to honour some of Huddersfield’s foremost companies and individuals. The Business of the Year category was sponsored by Business Link Yorkshire.

Award judges commended Newsholme Food Group for ambitious investment to expand the business, successful brand development along with efforts to create more jobs within the community.
